Lankhorst Infrastructure is part of Lankhorst Engineered Products, founded in 1803 and active in sustainable plastic solutions since 1975. We develop and produce solutions made from recycled plastic for civil engineering, road and waterworks, and public spaces.
At Lankhorst, we’ve been working towards a circular economy since 1975. Household waste is given a second life with us, serving as a raw material for innovative solutions in the infrastructure market. By reusing recycled plastics, we prevent them from being incinerated and help reduce CO₂ emissions. To make our environmental impact transparent, we’ve had a Milieukostenindicator (Environmental Cost Indicator – MKI) calculated for all our plastic solutions, based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This allows us to provide detailed insights into the environmental footprint of each project. With an MKI of just €0.017 per kilogram of end product, KLP® is among the most sustainable choices on the market.
KLP® is made from high-quality recycled plastic that has been continuously developed over the years into a durable, high-performance construction material. To generate additional stiffness, several KLP® variants have been created to offer comprehensive solutions for civil engineering, roadworks, and water management. For example, KLP® is available with steel reinforcement (KLP®-S) or glass fiber reinforcement (KLP®-V), and it is also combined with wood in the combi-piles and combi-sheet piling.
With KLP® solutions, we are building a sustainable future together. Our experts are always ready to think along with you.
KLP® stands for reliability and sustainability. The material is UV-, water-, and weather-resistant, ensuring that even after years of exposure to sun, rain, and frost, KLP® remains structurally as good as new. It does not rot or absorb moisture, which helps prevent slipperiness caused by algae growth. KLP® does not splinter and requires no maintenance. It contributes to a cleaner environment, being made from recycled materials and free from impregnation, meaning no toxic substances are released into the surroundings. Moreover, KLP® is fully recyclable at the end of its service life.
