KLP® stands for (Plastic) Kunststof Lankhorst Product and has been the foundation of Lankhorst Engineered Products’ plastic solutions for nearly 50 years.
Sustainable, thick-walled plastic solutions with a long lifespan and a circular origin. Where one sees waste, Lankhorst sees raw material. For many years, we have been giving post-consumer and industrial plastics a second life in the form of high-quality solutions for a wide range of applications.
At Lankhorst Engineered Products, we believe that waste is not an end, but a beginning. By reusing plastic residual streams, we prevent incineration and reduce CO₂ emissions. Our solutions are developed with a positive CO₂ footprint: they prevent more emissions than they generate. We achieve this by choosing recycled plastic over virgin materials, using 100% green electricity, and creating products that last for decades. Our circular approach doesn’t stop at production: we actively contribute ideas for reusing old KLP® components, design for disassembly, and extend the lifespan of existing structures.
Quality is central to the development and production of KLP®. In our in-house laboratory, the material is extensively tested for properties such as flexural strength, impact resistance, and weather durability. Thanks to a carefully tailored raw material composition and stable production processes, we deliver plastic solutions that are technically reliable and built to last. This provides a consistent foundation for a wide range of applications, from infrastructure projects to industrial solutions.
For applications that require additional strength or stiffness, reinforced variants of KLP® are available. KLP®-V is reinforced with glass fiber and offers increased structural rigidity. KLP®-S contains fully embedded steel reinforcement, making it suitable for longer spans and heavily loaded structures. These reinforcements make KLP® highly versatile, from bridges and jetties to structural elements in industrial or public space settings.
