From co-extrusion to complete custom processing
At Ekon, we believe that standard is not always the best solution. That is why we develop and produce plastic sheet and strip material fully tailored to your application.

At Ekon, we believe that standard is not always the best solution. That is why we develop and produce plastic sheet and strip material fully tailored to your application.
EKon combines many years of experience in flat extrusion with extensive processing capabilities. As a result, we deliver not only standard semi-finished products, but also fully customized solutions that are ready for immediate integration into your production process.

Ekon offers a wide range of custom options for sheet and coil materials in PE, PP, and specials such as TPE, plastomers, and biopolymers. Depending on your application, we develop a solution that perfectly meets your technical, mechanical, and chemical requirements. Through intensive collaboration, we offer a broad range of possibilities.
Deep expertise in PE, PP, and specials translated into the right solution for your application.
From co-extrusion to contract extrusion and fully customized extrusion. At Ekon, we master the complete extrusion process in-house.
Complete control over quality, flexibility, and delivery time.
Stable quality, consistent deliveries, and transparent cooperation form the basis of our relationships.
We get involved early in the process and advise on material selection, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
Development, extrusion, and finishing are integrated, ensuring speed, quality, and flexibility.

Our specialists are happy to think along with you about material choice, design, and execution.

With co-extrusion, we combine multiple material layers in one production process into one functional end product. This allows properties such as stiffness, wear resistance, anti-slip, or soft-touch to be optimally combined. For example, a rigid core can be provided with a TPE top layer for extra grip or comfort.
Color combinations or signaling layers are also possible within one sheet or strip.
Co-extrusion makes it possible to efficiently optimize material use without compromising performance. This results in a technically well-thought-out solution with a favorable price-performance ratio.

In contract extrusion, we produce sheets or films based on your own formulation or raw material. This is ideal when you work with specific compounds or unique material compositions. We ensure consistent quality and reproducibility within your specifications. Our production lines are flexibly deployable for various thicknesses and widths.
Discretion and confidentiality in product development are a given.
This way, you benefit from our production capacity and expertise while maintaining full control over your product formula.

Custom extrusion at Ekon starts with good collaboration, where from the first phase we determine the right material composition and product specifications together with you. This means testing, optimizing, and (where necessary) compounding to a solution that exactly meets your functional and technical requirements.
We develop custom compounds based on virgin materials, recyclates, or a combination thereof, where we integrate materials or residual streams from customers into the production process. This creates a circular collaboration that ensures production waste and thermoforming residues can be processed one-to-one into new products. A good example of this is the thermoforming waste from Altrad wheelbarrows, which is reprocessed into sheets for the same application.
The result is a technically optimized and sustainable custom solution that directly fits your production process.

By laminating or coating, we add functional or aesthetic top layers to existing sheets or belts. This can be for extra anti-slip, protection against wear, or a specific text or logo on a sheet or belt. Integrating non-woven, rubber, or protective layers is also possible. Laminating offers extra design freedom without completely changing the base material. This way, we create products that meet both technical and visual requirements. The combination of layers is carefully tailored to mechanical stress and usage conditions.

In addition to producing various types of sheet and strip material, we provide, in collaboration with renowned partners, various precise post-processing operations. CNC-controlled processes create accurate contours and complex shapes. Sheets and strips can be fully milled to size for direct mounting or assembly. This prevents extra processing steps at the customer and shortens production time.
We are happy to think along about tolerances, fitting, and structural stability. Series production with consistent dimensional accuracy is also possible. Thus, we do not deliver raw sheets, but a functional component that can be directly applied in your production process.

For applications requiring ventilation, drainage, weight reduction, or specific permeability, we provide both standard and custom perforation and punching patterns. We carefully tailor the perforation pattern to the mechanical load and usage conditions to maintain a balance between functionality and material strength. For many years, we have supplied conveyor belts, slipsheets, and industrial applications within the agro and manufacturing industries.

For structural applications, it is possible to weld plastic sheets into durable end products, such as containers, shields, or technical enclosures. Thanks to our many years of collaboration with our partner, advanced welding techniques ensure strong, homogeneous joints that withstand mechanical and chemical stress.
In addition, our plastic sheets can be bent, making it possible to shape flat sheets into three-dimensional constructions at controlled angles. For this process, we have a long-standing partnership with our partner, who masters this technique in detail.

In addition to the aforementioned processing, we also offer the possibility to saw, cut, mill, drill and crease plastic sheets and strips. Sheets and strips are precisely sized according to your specifications, including mounting holes or functional cutouts.
For applications requiring controlled foldability, crease lines are applied. This ensures predictable bending without loss of strength, for example in slipsheets or logistics applications.
Because these processes are partly carried out in-house and partly by reputable partners, we deliver a product that is immediately deployable within your production, assembly or logistics process. Fast, dimensionally accurate and with consistent quality.

Ekon is not a standard supplier, but a thinking partner in custom plastics. Schedule a consultation with our specialists.
