Ekoliner® is a high-quality PE lining specially developed to protect traditional materials long-term against moisture, chemicals, and wear. The plastic sheet is equipped on the back with an integrated non-woven layer, allowing the sheet to be excellently bonded or anchored with materials such as concrete, steel, and wood. Ekoliner® offers a reliable solution for applications where high demands are placed on chemical resistance, liquid tightness, and durability.

Maximum protection, minimum maintenance costs
Polyethylene is excellent for protecting structures against moisture and chemicals. However, bonding or attaching PE to other materials is usually difficult. Ekon has solved this with Ekoliner®: a patented plastic sheet with a specially developed non-woven fabric integrated on the back. This creates a PE lining that strongly adheres to the substrate. When used in concrete, Ekoliner® can be applied before pouring, after which the sheet is firmly anchored.
For the customer, this means a durable protective layer that extends the lifespan of structures and helps to limit maintenance, deterioration, and leakage. Ekoliner® is therefore suitable for applications where reliability, chemical resistance, and a long service life are important.

For concrete lining, sewer renovation, and offshore applications
Ekoliner® is used in various situations where structures need long-term protection against harsh conditions. The plastic sheet is used for lining concrete, wood, and steel when high demands are placed on chemical resistance, liquid tightness, and abrasion resistance. A liquid-tight layer of Ekoliner® provides optimal protection for concrete silos, contributing to a long service life.
Additionally, Ekoliner® is applied in prefab elements for sewer renovation, where fiberglass-reinforced cement is combined with the wear-resistant and flexible plastic sheet. For the offshore market, there is also a PP-based variant used as a Field Joint Infill sheet. These sheets serve as a formwork mold for applying a PU coating on weld joints in pipelines. Because the PU coating adheres to the non-woven fabric, the sheet remains durably bonded to the pipe.
