Lankhorst Piggyback Block design
With ease of installation in mind, the Lankhorst Piggyback Blocks are designed to be a high-impact resistant support for secondary pipelines. The blocks can be manufactured from a range of high-performance materials, such as virgin polyethylene, polyurethane, polypropylene or low environmental impact marine grade recycled materials, depending on the offshore conditions and clients requirements.
The typical design is a simple two part base and cap, designed to support and guide the piggy line(s) whilst still allowing free axial movement, thus acting as a guide. Designs are available with various gaps between the main pipe and the secondary lines.
Optimized for installation
Designed with offshore field conditions in mind, Piggyback Blocks are robust, easy to handle and quick to install. The ribbed design lowers weight without compromising strength, and side finger grips simplify manual positioning.
Their function is dual: to guide piggyback lines while protecting both the main and secondary pipes from stress and damage during and after installation. Depending on the setup, the blocks allow for either unrestricted axial movement or secure clamping.
Whether installed using high-tensile carbon steel, corrosion-resistant Alloy 625, or Kevlar strapping with duplex tensioners, Piggyback Blocks are optimized for longevity and reliability.
